Principal’s Message

Hello Orlo Vista Families!

 

It is with excitement that we begin this year as a high performing school with a grade of B.  We also earned 100% adequate progress in every one of our ESSA subgroups!  This is up an entire letter grade for us, and a reflection of much hard work by our students, and staff.  Most importantly, it is a reflection of incredible growth, and learning gains made by our Jaguars.  We have strategic plans made to go even higher this year!  Our theme for 25-26 will be “On our Journey to Excellence”,  which ties in with our motto- “Excellence is our Expectation”, that our students recite every morning.  We have a journey/travel theme because we still have room to improve on our journey to an A school, and maximum growth for every single Jaguar.  We have a few new initiatives this year, including our attendance incentive program- “Adventure starts with Showing Up”!   Students with at least 95% attendance can earn a celebration each quarter.  Parents, please help us have your child in school, on time, every day unless they are ill.   It makes all of the difference in the world. 

 

We are looking forward to an exciting year, with many events planned for our families to engage and be involved.  Make sure that you have downloaded Parent Square to receive our updates, and calendar of events.
